I know the Melrose in highly regarded, but is there anything else very near? (less pricey?) sure don%26#39;t want a dirty old motel, either. thanks

Is there a reason you want to be in the Oaklawn area in particular? Oaklawn is very nice but it is a small geographical area, therefore perhaps only the Melrose qualifies as ';Oaklawn';.

The Market Center area hotels such as Bradford Suites, Fairfield, Embassy, Homewood, Sheraton, Hawthorn, Hilton Garden Inn, etc. are all fairly close to Oak Lawn.

want to look at condos in Dallas area, and was told Oaklawn was very highly regarded, with the Melrose being the best in area. thanks to all of you.
