What to do in Galveston

Hi,

We have osome time around March 2nd and 3rd and then again on March 10th to the 13th to spend in Galveston. We would like to find some music events, blues clubs, nightlife, sites to see, things not to miss, etc. Any suggestions will be welcomed.

Thanks!

What to do in Galveston

I would look at galveston.com for the calender of events and attractions.

What to do in Galveston

My in-laws live not too far from Galveston and whenever we go visit a must do for us is eating a late breakfast at The Mosquito Cafe and make sure to sit outside in the back. A very nice quaint atmosphere and topnotch food. If you are visiting Galveston you must walk the strand as that%26#39;s the popular shopping/browsing area. Taking a ferry boat to Bolivar might be fun for something different as well.

A must see ~~~ Moody Gardens

1. Schlitterbahn is fun for kids %26amp; adults. 2. The Strand District for neat shopping. 3. Moody Gardens, overpriced but nice in touristy way....

Go to Galveston.com. for good links

The Balinese Room has live music on weekends (22and Seawall).

Sunflower Bakery- awesome food 14 and Market.

Shrimp and Stuff- local%26#39;s food 35/P

We have some cool bars and clubs in the Strand District, in addition there is Woody%26#39;s (biker/but nice) out west- past the Seawall.

Mario%26#39;s excellent food, Spot good but expensive.

Oyster Bar-excellent gumbo- Strand

Tour at least one of the ';Broadway Beauties';- info on Galveston.com- gorgeous historic mansions on the main drag.

Ghost tours are also popular.

Cool clubs and trendy shops on Post Office Street. Rudy %26amp; Pacos for dinner or Saltwater Grill.

Take the ferry. It%26#39;s free. We always see dolphins.
