we want to visit bandera the first weekend in april for a motorcycle rally. this would be our first trip there. we have visited san antonio and garner state park.

any advice on where to stay for this kind of event? what kind of town is Bandera? I hear the hill country offers gorgeous scenery. Living right here on Galveston Bay leaves us ready for a change of scenery. please email at raadvp@yahoo.com.

A little late, but for anyone reading this, you%26#39;ll want to check out our property, Old Town Square in Bandera (formerly the Frontier Hotel). We%26#39;re very biker friendly!

We just renovated our historic hotel to have fun theme rooms (like the John Wayne room, Pancho Villa room, etc). We also have a great patio restaurant, Texaritas, serving juicy mesquite-grilled steaks and frozen margaritas, among other things. And we have The Purple Cow Saloon, with full bar and live music. We%26#39;re right in the middle of Bandera on Main Street, so we%26#39;re convenient to everything Bandera has to offer.

Bikers, you can park out in front of our huge patios during the day to keep an eye on your bike, and in our private courtyard if you are staying overnight. Check us out!

we are visiting texas soon, ie houston, how easy is it to get to bandera, we would like to spend a day+ night on a real cowboy ranch, can anyone tell me the easiest transport to get there

For anyone wanting to stay at a really fun, well-run dude ranch, check out the Mayan Ranch which is run by the Hicks family. Beautiful property on the outskirts of town, reasonably priced, excellent meals (home-made!), and lots of activities options. Great saloon and clean, comfortable lodging. We took our family from Germany and they (and we) will remember it for the rest of their lives!
