I will be flying in to Austin in February and will have a car. I have 2 teenage boys and would appreciate it if anyone can recommend some things to do for about a 6 day trip. I have to fly into Austin, but as stated, I will have a car so I can drive anywhere within a reasonable distance. Remember, I have 2 teenage boys so am looking for fun things to do for them (meaning they don’t want any museums!). Thank you

I guess a lot has to do with what their into. If there into sports there%26#39;s always Spurs and/or UT Basketball and ice hockey. Feburary is my favorite time to hike in south Texas - Any of the State Parks are a good choice - Enchanted Rock, Lost Maples, Bastrop. Austin%26#39;s music scene is great. And nearby caves are pretty cool.

There%26#39;s a zipline:

And some of the caves have a tour where you crawl through small spaces. Look at Natural Bridge, Inner Space, Longhorn Cavern and A Cave Without a Name.
Zipline is a good idea! I had a friend do the one near Durrango, CO and loved it.
Here%26#39;s some cave info
Just north of SA on I-35 you%26#39;ll find Natural Bridge Caverns http://www.naturalbridgecaverns.com/ In addition to being one of the biggest caves in Texas, this is a great family sport with well developed trails and lots of activities including a more physical tour that includes repelling. There%26#39;s panning for gem stones and a drive-through wildlife park.
In Boerne you%26#39;ll find The Cave Without a Name. This is a more remote and less touristy alternative. The guides are very knowledgeable and obviously passionate about educating folks. You%26#39;re apt to get a more personal tour here, on many occasions we%26#39;ve been the only folks on the tour.
Just South of Boerne is Cascade Caverns http://www.cascadecaverns.com/ with an underground waterfall. The facilities here are a little worn
I just have to say that we were in San Antonio at the beginning of October and the absolute best part of our trip was the Segway tour!!! Wow is all I can say! It is kind of pricey...I think it was $65 each for a 3-4 hour tour. But it was amazing! (And worth every penney) Our tour guide was named Asa and was so very knowledgeable. I am sure your sons would love it. So think about splurging. They would probably love telling all their friends that they rode a Segway!!! The name of the company is SegCity Tours and you can find info about them on the web. Hope this helps!!!
