I had lunch with my sister in Temple yesterday. Had been wanting to try Cheeves Bros- glad we did. (http://www.cheevesbros.com/)
I won%26#39;t say the food was spectacular- we had crab cakes and lobster bisque- but the service and atmosphere were wonderful. If you need a place to stop on a long I-35 trip, downtown Temple has several places that would be a good choice. Right on that same block were Molly%26#39;s Deli, Pignetti%26#39;s (Italian) and Duckhorn Taven.
Cheeves Bros- great stop for lunch or dinner
I agree. The hubby and I have dinner at Cheeves Bros. every now and then and like it. My husband usually orders whatever special they have (preferably seafood) and I usually order some kind of steak, but we haven%26#39;t been disappointed in the food yet.
It does get crowded on weekends though, so a reservation is a good idea on Saturday nights.
