There is the Riverwalk and Rivercenter and from what I can tell they are across the street from each other.
Which one should we stay in (end of Dec and New Years)?
Which Marriott at the Riverwalkhopefully, somebody who%26#39;s stayed at both will reply....but i%26#39;ve walked through both of them, and to me they are about the same. they are just across the street from each other...and both are directly on the riverwalk. the ';rivercenter'; one is connected to the Rivercenter Mall whereas the other one across the street is not. the one bonus to the one across the street (the Riverwalk one) is that it has balconies.....the rivercenter one does not.
Which Marriott at the Riverwalkbump
Locals are usually not the best choice for hotel info. I stayed at the Rivercenter one New Years about 12 years ago. As I remember, nothing special, typical nice hotel.
As THam pointed out the Riverwalk has balconies - that would be my choice especially if you’re into crowd watching. The Alamo Bowl with all of its fans and events will be happening that week. It should be great fun to watch the crowds along the Riverwalk from your balcony.
Does this fact sway anyones opinion. Marriott Riverwalk $389/ngt...Marriott Rivercenter $284ngt. Is a balcony worth that much? I also know that you can%26#39;t tell much from internet pictures but the Riverwalk looks stark and outdated (80%26#39;s big tower hotel) and the Rivercenter more hip.
Any and all information is helpful.
Thanks
