We plan on vacationing on South Padre Island from Christmas to New Year. Can anyone suggest restaurants that may be open on Christmas Day?? We will be camping and arriving on Christmas Eve.....also any suggestions on grocery stores or fresh fish market???Thanks!!!

I have no idea what will open on Christmas Day...try Blackbeards. My inclination is that most restaurants will be closed. There are 3 grocery store options. Wal Mart and HEB in Port Isabel (you have to pass by both on your way to island). Blue Marlin grocery on the island itself. My personal preference is the HEB in Port Isabel.
The best fish market is B%26amp;A in Port Isabel...on the left as you are passing through town, past Wal Mart, sort of behind what used to be a gas station. I can%26#39;t say enough about B%26amp;A....also the best place to eat, but the hours are erratic.
