Hotel near Convention Center 1/28/07 - 1/31/07

I am having a difficult time locating a hotel near the Convention Center for 1/28/07 - 1/31/07. What hotels are a little further away? I tried the Hyatt, Adolphus, Springhill Suites, Hotel Lawrence and the Magnolia. They are all booked. What areas are close to the Convention Center?. I dont mind driving 15 to 20 mins.

There is a Dart train stop in the convention center. So you could look into these areas: West End (Springhill Suites), Mockingbird Station (Palomar, Radisson).

But sounds like you%26#39;ll have a car?? Belmont Hotel is an easy drive. Or you could look at hotels in the Market Center area.

Thanks! I checked all these hotels and they are booked. There was one open but it was $390 a night. I was looking for something under $200 a night.

Any other areas I can try. Yes I will have a car.

I just looked at hotwire.com for your dates - there%26#39;s a 4 star in the Galleria area for $134/night....that%26#39;s about a 20 minute drive.

What is the name of the hotel??

On Hotwire, you don%26#39;t find out the name of the hotel until you pay...that%26#39;s the deal; non-refundable. You can pick the area and quality of hotel; so this particular hotel was in the Galleria area at a 4 star level. Usually you can get a good deal - I think this hotel was more than half off.

I%26#39;ve used Hotwire for a hotel in Chicago with great success. My friend (who I had to talk it though) scored a great deal in New Orleans.
