Hi, We are a family from Ky. We are purchasing a condo on the island. We have enjoyed our visits there and decided we would like to spend more time there. We are coming for the month of Jan. Just wondered when do the spring breaks begin??? When does the water park open? Sandy from Ky.

Welcome to SpI as a homeowner! Spring break begins the last week of February with some of the northern universities out but things really get geared up in March...the biggest week this year is March 9 thru 16th, when the Texas and Oklahoma schools are out. Then till the end of March are busiest. The water park doesn%26#39;t open till the start of Texas week, as do most other things. In January you will find mostly Winter Texans who are generally retired people and events are mainly geared to them.
