I just saw that sea world will be open on new years eve when we are in sa. Would this be a good family activity or is it horribly packed? thanks

I doubt that there would be a problem with overcrowding on that date. I have been a couple of times during their peak season (summer) and even then the only issues with overcrowding occurred in the Water Park area which had long lines of people waiting for others to come out so that they could go in. The biggest issue on that date could be the unpredictable weather which could range anywhere from a balmy 75 degrees to a frigid 30 degrees or below. You might want to wait until your trip is closer or buy at the gate to get a better handle on what the weather will be like while you%26#39;re there.
