Also.. can we find seashells or sand dollars on SPI?

Seashells

Yes, there are seashells, but they are usually small. I don%26#39;t know the reason, but sometimes there are lots of shells and other times they are scarce. I guess it is the tides. Sand dollars can be found (not always) on about the second sand bar.....but it will be too cold when you are there to get in the water. I like to look for shells down by the jetties. Some people like to search way up on the north end (uninhabited) part of the island. This summer I found cockle shells that were as big as my hand, but found none in October.....
