Things to do 29-31 Dec

I know this is short notice, but i just found this forum...my wife and I are coming to Dallas for the Cowboys/lions game 31 Dec. We are staying at Springhill Suites at 5800 High Point Drive in Irving, Texas. We have never been to Dallas so we picked this because of central location and price. We arrive Friday afternoon and would like to experience some Dallas nightlife and shopping. I have read some other threads and downtown sounds like the place we want to be. We will have a car but would like to leave it at the hotel while out at night. We are willing to change hotels if need be. Any suggestions? Thanks, James

It should be easy enough to take a cab so you can go out and enjoy yourself w/o worrying.
