We are thinking of coming there between Christmas and New Years as a family. What kind of weather can we expect? I%26#39;ve seen some cooler temps, so if that%26#39;s the case and you can%26#39;t really lie around on the beach or use the water, what kind of vacation things can a family do there that time of year?
Weather in South Padre late December/early January
We were just there over Thanksgiving and were able to go to the beach and enjoy the water. It was close to 80 degrees each day and the water was 67 degrees. We%26#39;re also planning to return between Christmas and New Years.....I would expect the temps to be a little cooler....may not be able to swim in the water, but the beach should be great for seashelling and building sand castles, walks, runs, flying kites, etc.
