Been reading this forum off and on cuz we are coming over New Year%26#39;s and I%26#39;m intrigued by the occasional refernce to ';bats'; under some bridge. Somone fill me in?
What's with the bats??Austin has the largest urban bat colony in the United States. They love to summer under the Congress avenue bridge and emerge at dusk each night to forage for bugs and insects. It%26#39;s quite a sight when they fly out.
Bad news for you is that the bats arrive from Mexico around March/April each year, have their pups and then return to Mexico round the middle to end of October for the winter.
You%26#39;ll just have to time your next trip to Austin!
