Leaving for Laredo in the am

We will be 3 ladies going to Laredo. I understand that the minutemen are there now. Is that going to make it safer or the opposite? Just going for a much awaited shopping trip. We do not have to cross into Neuvo Laredo, but would if it were safe.

We%26#39;ve talked about this extensively in previous threads. Regardless of minutemen or not, I would not recommend a trip to Laredo.

ditto what O%26#39;boy said. you%26#39;ll find the same stuff they sell in Nuevo Laredo in San Antonio (or Houston for that matter) at about the same price and in a much safer environment. I%26#39;ll NEVER understand why people want to to go to a Mexican border town!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, there were several shops over the border with the most fabulous selection of furniture, glassware and carved statues.

Decorators knew about these sources and loaded up for their clients.

I havent seen anything in Texas to rival what was down there, plus no tax to pay. Only in the past few years, when the drug wars started, did the better shopping drop off.

I recently went to Laredo. I had a great time and so did my 20 yr old son. Many of the shops and restaurants have moved from Nuevo Laredo to Laredo, so there is no need to go across. I saw no danger in Laredo.
