Thanksgiving Dinner

Please help!!!! My husband and I will be in Houston for Thanksgiving. We used to eat at the Old San Francisco Steak House for Thanksgiving dinner, but it is now closed. I looked online at Cleburne%26#39;s Cafeteria and they will be closed on Thanksgiving, also. Please suggest some places that have good food and will be open for Thanksgiving dinner. Thanks for your help!!!!

Thanksgiving Dinner

(Continued from Thanksgiving Dinner)

I don%26#39;t know how to go back in and edit my message. What I should have added is that we will have my 92 year old mother with us. She doesn%26#39;t like exotic or different food. Some good homestyle cooking restaurant suggestions would help. She also loves Christy%26#39;s Seafood Restaurant. We really don%26#39;t want to spend more than $15-$25 per person for our entree or complete meal.

Thanksgiving Dinner

A co worker of mine suggested this place and I quote ';hands down the best place around'; for the traditional Thankgiving dinner...

To tell you the truth, I wonder if this is where I would really want to spend my Thanksgiving?

You be the judge, let us know.

We have eaten at Luby%26#39;s before. The best one IMO is in Humble. Which particular Luby%26#39;s were you suggesting? I was hoping for something a little nicer.

Black-eyed Pea is usually open on Thanksgiving and sometimes Steak and Ale. Both usually serve good Turkey with flavor and yet remain no-frills enough to satisfy a 92-yr-old.

You might also check some of the hotels - Hiltons or Marriots. Maybe the Hilton Americas downtown (might be pricey being downtown) and some others on the outskirts might be lesser priced.

Hi Tripforgrad,

As I mentioned, this was highly recommended by a co-worker, I%26#39;ve never been there. I kinda thought you might like something a little more up scale (I would also). Regarding the location, I%26#39;m not sure, I stay and work in the Willowbrook area (249/1960) my friend lives in the Tomball area.

I just saw that Rudi Lechner%26#39;s was having a simple Thanksgiving buffet in the Chronicle dining guide yesterday. You can go to RudiLechners.com and it will tell you what they are serving. Rudi Lechner%26#39;s is on Gessner. You can also try to find a copy of the Dining guide from yesterday%26#39;s newspaper and there might be more restaurants listed.
