Austin Golf Club ?

I don%26#39;t know specifically which club you mean. Several clubs have similar names. Try www.austintexas.org - the austin visitor convention and visitor%26#39;s web site.

then look for Stay and Do - then type ';golf'; in the search box. You%26#39;ll get many entries for golf around Austin.

Hope this helps.

This club is member owned, invitation only. It is very private and purportedly clandestine. Membership is exclusive and consists of primarily dignitaries, celebrities, politicos, you get the idea. If you know a member, they can get you on. That%26#39;s about the only way.

Ecoequity-

You seem to be in the know about Austin Golf Club. My husband%26#39;s friend won a round out there and is being kind enough to bring him as his guest. I find it hard to believe that such an exclusive club raffles off rounds, but hey, anyhting can happen. We have SARS and don%26#39;t get many chances to see the fancy places around here so I just want to make sure he doesn%26#39;t embarrass the group by appearing cheap %26amp; not tipping enough. Could you advise on the proper amount to tip the caddies? I was thinking a dollar a hole?? Any insight you pass along will be greatly appreciated.

One more question, Eco-

If he runs into a famous politico like Kinky would it be okay to get a pic with him?

There is no such thing as Austin Golf Club.

There is a Austin Country Club, in Davenport Ranch, along Lake Austin.

Austin Golf Club is located off 71 in Spicewood. It does exist %26amp; is super exclusive. Ecoequity is correct, there are very few members, primarily consisting of politicians, CEO%26#39;s %26amp; celebrities. It is an amazing course designed %26amp; developed by Coore %26amp; Crenshaw, Inc %26amp; opened around 2000. You can only play as a members%26#39; guest, and the member must be present to even get you into the gate leading to the establishment. Membership is reserved for a limited number, and all members must be referred and approved. Caddies are provided, not sure about clubs but I%26#39;m certain a club of their magnitude can furnish them upon request.

Eco, just giving you a hard time in the prior post!! :)

I stand corrected.
