Love field to Will Rogers Arena in Ft W

I want to come to a horse show for 1 day next week. Flying into Love field. Is there any way to get to the Will Rogers colliseum in Ft Worth without taking an expensive airport shuttle? I can take the first flight in and last flight out and have no deadlines. Don%26#39;t mind public transport and understand it could take some time. Suggestions? Thanks

You would better off flying into DFW as far as using public transportation over to Fort Worth. However, if you are already committed to Love Field, here%26#39;s my suggestion:

take a cab from Love to one of the TRE (Trinity Railway Express) stations- the two closest would be South Irving or Medical/Market Center

Then take the TRE over to Fort Worth- get off at the ITC (Intermodal Transportation Center). You can catch a bus over to the Will Rogers- I think route 16 will get you there but there are plenty of people at the center to ask.

I agree with the previous post, but if you drive, you might want to consider just renting a car for the day. That would be the easiest way from Love to Will Rogers. I%26#39;m not sure how mapquest would route you, but when you exit Love Field, you really only need to take that street (Mockingbird Lane) going west to I-35 going south, then exit onto I-30 going west to Ft. Worth. Once in Ft. Worth, your exit is right past down town and you are at Will Rogers. It%26#39;s pretty straight forward. The only difficulty might be your arrival/departure times. If you are during the morning or afternoon work commute, you might hit a little traffic.
