Great eats on the river walk

We will be staying on the river walk after Christmas. Could anyone recommend which restaurants are worth trying. We havent been to eat on the river in years and dont have a clue. Have also heard that the better restaurants are off the riverwalk. Can anyone recommend one that is in downtown but not on the river. Thanks alot.

What type of food and price range?...Boudros is my fave on the river..Shilo%26#39;s for lunch...Very good Mexican restaurants nearby..El Mirador(lunch),Rosario%26#39;s and Tito,s in King William area of DT,and Karams across the bridge....There is also La Reve, acclaimed but $$$.....I personally have not been to Citrus(in the Hotel Valencia),but the word on the forum is very good seafood and romantic...We usually like the Riverwalk for drinks and appetizers..................

Pesca is really good. In the Watermark Hotel, but on the river. I hear good things about Citrus too, but haven%26#39;t been. Have been to Le Reve and it%26#39;s fabulous, but will set you back a pretty penny. Expect at least $100 pp. It is really incredible though, and for a special occasion, perfect. You%26#39;ll need reservations well in advance...only 14 tables.

On an evening when its comfortable to sit outside (most restaurants have heaters, so even temperatures in the 50s and 60s are doable), we love having tapas and wine at Las Ramblas in the Hotel Contessa. Location is lovely, right on the river but in a less crowded area. Acenar in the Hotel Valencia is another nice choice, with an interesting gourmet-ish take on local cuisine. Best place for Tex-Mex, -- Rosario%26#39;s in King William, a short distance from the Riverwalk.
